Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Position is responsible for coordinating the care of patients for a designated service throughout the continuum of care; serves as a clinical resource in area of specialty or expertise.
This position is located at an in-center dialysis center.
Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination on patients; conveys findings to physician.
Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, conveys findings to physician, attends inpatient rounds, coordinates patient appointments and assists with referrals to outside sources.
Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
Performs a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance.
Coordinates Vascular Access patient review.
Coordinates Anemia Management for the dialysis center.
Coordinates CQI activities.
Acts as liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information to appropriate sources.
Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in developing, coordinating and managing clinical research projects with working knowledge of database management, spreadsheet and statistical analysis software.
Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, in accordance with the Compact Act.
Basic Life Support Certification, Level C, or obtains certification within one month of employment.
Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements.
Grade S26 Salary Range $59,600.
00 - $103,600.
00 / Annually The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
