PRS is currently seeking an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our East St.
Louis, Illinois rail terminal, serving a resilient industry.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance and repair tasks in our dynamic rail terminal.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay with potential yearly earnings ranging from $55,000 to $70,000, inclusive of overtime.
Pay rate is commensurate with experience,.
Shift:
Monday-Friday day shift with some Weekend call ins.
Union Affiliation:
We are affiliated with District 9.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mechanical field with a focus on preventative maintenance.
Must possess a complete set of personal tools (yearly tool allowance provided).
Proficiency in working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel systems and components.
Valid driver's license is a must.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a Diesel Mechanic with PRS, your key responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing and repairing overhead cranes and side-loader equipment.
Addressing maintenance and repair needs for the hostler fleet, forklifts, and company vehicles.
Ensuring the maintenance of the hostler fleet.
Performing welding and fabricating tasks.
Working on electrical components.
Routine equipment maintenance.
Providing assistance in various areas as required by management.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Possess a valid driver's license.
Successfully pass a 7-year background check
Pass a drug test.
& a IPCS Physical Capabilities Test.
No GED or diploma is required.
