Aftercare Assistant

Soulard Education Center, in association with The Soulard School, is seeking a part-time collaborative aftercare teacher to join its staff immediately.
We are seeking a creative, caring individual who: * Is a careful observer and listener of children * Will create trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues * Will be dependable in attendance and punctuality Duties include: * Provide aftercare supervision for pre-k and elementary students * Checking in with parents at pick-up * Setting up snack * Clean-up and organizing duties * Lots of time outside (in all weather) * Assist with behavior management and implement strategies to promote positive behavior.
* Engage children in outdoor exploration and encourage physical activity.
Qualifications: * Experience working with children in an educational setting Position is hourly, Monday- Friday 3:30- 6 p.
m.
