*Job Title: Babysitter – As Needed (PRN)*
*Collaborates with: Residential Support Services Coach-Advisor*

*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:* None
*POSITION SUMMARY:*
Babysitter is primarily responsible to assist Residential Support Coaches in caring for infants, toddlers, and children under the age of 12 years old while their mothers attend classes under the supervision of Haven of Grace education and life skills programming.
*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:* This position is not responsible to lead or supervise anyone but assist RSC.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Adhering to RSC instructions on caregiving and requesting helpful clarification when needed.
Changing diapers and feeding infants, monitoring self-feeding for toddlers, and helping toddlers who are being potty trained.
Creating safe and fun play spaces
Encouraging sufficient, cognitively stimulating individual and group play.
Promoting adherence to non-negotiable curfews for infants, toddlers, and children.
Homework help for school aged children
Reading to the children for at least 15 minutes each babysitting session
*REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES*
*Education:*
High School Diploma or GED / HiSet
*Technical Skills:*
Must be able to receive and send emails.
*Work Experience:*
Demonstrable successful babysitting experience.
First-hand experience with navigating child-related emergencies is beneficial.
Perceptive to major safety-related threats.
Ability to issue age-appropriate directions.
*Additional Requirements:*
Age 18 or older
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to work evenings and weekend schedules on occasion.
Pass background checks

Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and reach overhead.
Must be able to lift and/or intercept a child weighing up to 60 pounds frequently.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds at times.
