org* *Summary: *Reports directly to the building principal.
Supervise areas of specific responsibilities as they relate to the classroom or program setting.
*Essential Duties And Responsibilities:* * Conduct daily and long-range planning for classroom or program activities.
* Display knowledge of the curriculum and subject matter.
* Use effective teaching techniques, strategies, and skills during lessons.
* Evaluate student progress.
* Manage student behavior.
* Maintain a classroom climate conducive to learning.
* Provide for individual differences and learning styles.
* Demonstrate a positive working relationship with the students.
* Communicate student progress and needs to parents.
* Engage in positive interpersonal relationships with members of the school staff.
* Follow policies, regulations, and procedures of the school district.
* Assume responsibilities outside the classroom.
* Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.

*Minimum Education and Experience Required:* * A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
* A teaching certificate substantiating completion of eligibility requirements for ELL at the elementary, middle, or secondary education level.
* Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources *Physical Demands:* * Exerts 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or * Exerts 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or * Prolonged periods of working on a computer.
* Sufficient vision to read printed material, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects.
* Sufficient hearing to hear conversations in person and on the telephone, and hear sounds clearly up to 20 feet.
* Ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone, and in addressing groups.
* Requires occasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time.
* The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and is generally a hazard free environment.
* Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.
