Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Supervise and engage children in educational and recreational activities
- Monitor and assess children's progress and behavior
- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the well-being of each child
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to support children with special needs
- Incorporate math and physical education concepts into daily lessons
- Facilitate and coordinate self-help skills and control, to include social emotional skills as well as toileting and behavior/ impulse control.
Requirements:
- Asssociate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Previous experience working in a daycare or child welfare setting
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a state and federal background check
