Preschool Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities: - Assist with implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children - Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment for students - Provide guidance and support to students in their social, emotional, and cognitive development - Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote a positive classroom environment - Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the well-being and progress of each student - Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents on a regular basis - Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment Skills: - Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices - Experience working with students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum - Proficiency in literacy education, including phonics, reading comprehension, and writing skills - Ability to incorporate math concepts into daily activities and lessons - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues - Knowledge of behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors in the classroom - Experience working with diverse student populations and adapting instruction to meet individual needs Qualifications: - Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting - Certification in early childhood education or a related field is preferred - CPR and First Aid certification is a plus We offer competitive compensation, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
