\Who are we?
The Excel Center is an accredited, tuition-free high school operated by MERS Goodwill of Missouri.
Each Excel center has an onsite daycare, Kid’s Excel.
Kid’s Excel offers drop-in childcare from 8am to 8pm while parents are in class M- Th and by appointment on Friday’s.
Essential Duties:
Help develop and implement lesson plans.
Follow state regulations.
Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee and Job manuals.
Create positive and inviting environment for children.
Greet parents and ask appropriate questions/give appropriate information.
Include themselves in children's play-time both indoors and outdoors.
Follow schedule for classroom so that activities are timely organized.
Complete the Opening Procedures, Naptime Procedures and Closing Procedures on a daily basis so that classrooms and common areas remain clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Experience working in a childcare setting.
• Fantastic organizational and teamwork skills
• Sound verbal and written communication skills
• A good level of computer literacy
• Clean background check
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent and (60+ college hours preferred)
• TB test (negative)
Essential Training Requirements:
New staff orientation, review of Personnel Practices Code Book, Training and Safety Manual, First Aid, CPR certification, Blood-Borne Pathogens Training in addition to all training required by the Missouri Department of Health licensing rules for child day care centers and other training as required including 12-hours of approved child-related training per year.
