Overview:
This position provides assistance for all aspects of all Summer@IMSA programs/camps in the MetroEast.
Ideal candidates will be detail oriented, be able to work collaboratively with adults and students, have experience working with small and large groups in a professional learning environment, and possess a background in summer camps or STEM.
This position pays $15.
00/hr.
Work dates/times are as follows:
Friday, June 7th, 10am - 2pm for program set up
Monday - Thursday, June 10 -13, 8:30am - 12:30pm
Friday, June 14, 8:30am - 1:30pm for program take down
Friday, June 21st, 10am - 2pm for program set up
Monday - Friday, June 24 -27, 8:30am - 12:30pm
Friday, June 28, 8:30am - 1:30pm for program take down
Friday, July 5th, 10am - 2pm for program set up
Monday - Friday, July 8 -11, 8:30am - 12:30pm
Friday, July 12, 8:30am - 1:30pm for program take down
Responsibilities:
Prepare materials for Summer@IMSA student enrichment programs
prior to and during programs
Help troubleshoot materials, and address and student or staff needs
Interact daily with IMSA students and participants
Supervise students (drop-off/pickup) and facilities as needed
Assist the Summer@IMSA staff with clean-up and storage of
materials at the end of the program.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be a high school graduate and 18 years or older
Must have own transportation to program sites in Belleville and O’Fallon
Experience with working with students in elementary, middle or high school in an enrichment setting.
Ability to assess and monitor student safety in a variety of types of settings
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong results-oriented and organizational skills with attention to details.
Strong interpersonal skills in relating to multiple audiences including students, parents, staff, and community members.
