Unleashing Potential is hiring for Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teachers at our Caroline Mission site located at 2828 Caroline Street, St.
Louis, MO 63104 *Job Summary* The Early Childhood Education Teacher* *assists in the creation and execution of the individual childcare plan as directed by Unleashing Potential mission and Missouri Accreditation Standards also adhering to licensing regulations which includes being responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care, which may include infant, toddlers and/or preschool age children.
They will develop partnerships with parents/child’s caregivers to engage and encourage parent participation in all program and curriculum planning.
* **Responsibilities*: * Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of curriculum development and program evaluation, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and research relating to learning.
* Develop weekly plans and implement age appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of children’s development in their care.
* Play an active supporting role with parents in the education and development of children.
* Monitor the progress of children through maintaining an accurate electronic portfolio for each child.
* Implement effective program measurement tools with document-targeted outcomes * Maintain positive communication with all stakeholders.
* Maintain a minimum of 18 clock hours yearly * Attend all agency conferences, meetings, trainings including evenings, and weekends.
* Assist to further Unleashing Potential’s mission, vision and goals.

*Education and Experience* * Associates Degree preferred.
* CDA-Child Development Associate Credential preferred OR willingness to acquire CDA within first year.
* Certification in CPR and First Aid OR ability to acquire certification within first 30 days.
* Nine Credit hours in Early Childhood Education preferred.
* 3 years of teaching experience in an Early Childhood program with infants, toddlers and preschoolers preferred.
