We are seeking 2 quality individuals who are looking for long-term employment to join our early childhood team.
Long term consistency is crucial to the quality of care we provide for the families we serve.
*Toddler Teacher: *This individual must be nurturing and understanding of the social and developmental skills of children 15-24 months of age.
This position requires patients, flexibility in working with toddlers and adaptability to their specific age-appropriate needs.
*Two-Year-Old Teacher:* This individual must have experience working with young children in a group setting.
It is essential to be high energy in this classroom, while also having a loving, nurturing demeanor.
A true understanding of the developmentally appropriate behaviors of a 2-year-old are crucial to assisting with diapering, toilet training, and teaching basic help skills and appropriate social interactions in addition to lesson planning and child assessment.
*Duties for both positions include:*
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum
- Create engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Use appropriate behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
*Qualifications for both positions include:*
- 60 semester hours of college coursework with 6 hours in early childhood
- Previous experience working with young children
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and staff members
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Familiarity with early childhood curriculum frameworks
