Position Type: Part Time; Monday - Friday; August 5th - May 23rd
Hours: 7:45 am - 1:30 pm
Pay: Hourly - $16.

Our Nursery program is committed to creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for our faculty & staff children ages 0-3.
For the 2024-2025 school year, South City Community School will serve six (6) faculty & staff children ranging in age from 4 months to 2 years.
The ideal candidate will work alongside a part time Nursery staff.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Head of School for Finance and Operations.
Responsibilities:
* Provide attentive and nurturing care to children during scheduled hours.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the faculty & staff nursery.
* Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play.
* Plan and implement educational and recreational activities.
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children to learn and play.
* Follow a semi-structured daily schedule.
* Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's day.
* Collaborate with other daycare staff to maintain consistency in care and activities.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for children.
* Follow health and safety protocols, including proper hygiene practices.
* Keep records of daily activities, incidents, and any relevant information.
* Report any concerns or issues to the Assistant Head of School for Finance and Operations.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience working with children in a nursery/daycare or similar setting.
* A genuine passion for working with children and creating a positive learning environment.
* Basic understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
