Position Type: Part Time; Monday – Friday; August 5th – May 23rd
Hours: 7:45 am – 1:30 pm
Pay: Hourly – $16.

Our Nursery program is committed to creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for our faculty & staff children ages 0-3.
For the 2024-2025 school year, South City Community School will serve six (6) faculty & staff children ranging in age from 4 months to 2 years.
The ideal candidate will work alongside a part time Nursery staff.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Head of School for Finance and Operations.
Responsibilities:
Child Supervision:
Provide attentive and nurturing care to children during scheduled hours.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the faculty & staff nursery.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play.
Daily Activities:
Plan and implement educational and recreational activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment for children to learn and play.
Follow a structured daily schedule.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child’s day.
Collaborate with other daycare staff to maintain consistency in care and activities.
Safety and Hygiene:
Maintain a clean and safe environment for children.
Follow health and safety protocols, including proper hygiene practices.
Documentation:
Keep records of daily activities, incidents, and any relevant information.
Report any concerns or issues to the Nursery supervisor.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children in a nursery/daycare or similar setting.
A genuine passion for working with children and creating a positive learning environment.
Basic understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
