The Salvation Army Midland Division Madison County Corps is looking a Community Center Program Aide.
This individual will coordinate and monitor community center programs such as after school, leagues, summer gym schedule, open recreations, and rentals.
This is a part-time, 25 hours per week, $14.
00 per hour.
Monday-Friday 2:30 pm.

Essential Functions
Oversee children, members, and visitors during activities in the community center.
Enforce rules as necessary.
Assist in developing games and monitor games and sports for children, leagues, rentals, and other recreational opportunities.
When necessary, mediate disputes among participants, being sensitive to needs of all parties.
Tutor children on their homework.
Clean gymnasium and work and play areas before and after activities.
Assist in planning community center special events.
Maintain and organize all gymnasium supplies and equipment.
Train members and visitors in the care and use of games and equipment.
Record and submit daily statistical reports.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with Salvation Army Safe From Harm guidelines.
Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors, and clients; respect of others’ property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers and supervisors.
Qualifications
Previous work with youth activities and community center is desirable.
Good communication skills.
Able to read and write well.
Relate well with youth and children.
Requires basic verbal communications with children and other employees.
Valid drivers’ license (including E license to transport children) and pass TSA MVR is a plus.
Must be certified by American Red Cross (ARC) in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid.
