Part-Time Recess/Lunch Monitor

A.
As a member of the school staff: 1.
Cooperated fully with the Board of Education's policies, regulations and administrators.
2.
Observe all school regulations related to the operation of the schools, schedules, and personal conduct.
3.
Maintains a cordial staff spirit.
4.
Advise the Director of Food Services and/or Director of Maintenance of all safety hazards and unsafe conditions to assure a safe, healthful environment that is conducive to student learning.
5.
Completes daily reports as required by the school office.
6.
Attends meetings and training courses upon request.
7.
Maintain effective relations with the public, both as an exemplary employee and as a representative of the school.
8.
Recognizes her/his contribution to the total operation of the school system and cooperates in the best interest of the students.
9.
Works cooperatively with school staff to develop and maintain a culture of teamwork and a positive climate for the entire school community.
8.
As a Lunchroom Monitor: 1.
Supervises students during lunch periods in serving lines, while eating and during lunchroom dismissal.
2.
Assists students in securing trays, food, seating and dismissal.
3.
Circulates among tables to provide assistance or to resolve minor issues.
4.
Maintains discipline in the lunchroom according to school and District policies.
5.
Reports disciplinary cases to the building principal only after failing to obtain cooperation with the students through her/his own efforts.
6.
Keep all required records.
7.
Reports all student injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline issues to the appropriate authority immediately, or as soon as is reasonably possible.
8.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
