Extended Day Staff

Extended Day Staff JOB SUMMARY Extended Day Staff lead and work with groups of 15-20 children in grades JK-6.
Staff ensure the safety of the children as they take them through a schedule of activities that includes: computers, homework, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, and more.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Oversee planned activities for a group of students ensuring the safety of all children in the program.
Will serve a scheduled snack to students.
Ability to work with staff, students and families from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the School’s discretion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Must be 18 years of age or older.
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience in an after school setting or working with school age children preferred.
Must have a positive attitude and will serve as a role model to program participants.
OTHER INFORMATION A criminal history and background check is required and must be successfully completed.
Ability to work during the summer camps is preferred.
Work primarily in a traditional climate controlled office environment.
Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
Be able to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
