Job Overview Position Schedule: Full-Time In 2022, Edward Jones invested $ 1 billion in technology infrastructure, digital initiatives, and virtual business enablement tools.

Edward Jones is a financial services firm heavily investing in technology and tech improvements to our systems to provide high-quality tools and processes to our branch and Home office teams.
Our team supports Mutual Fund Trading and Trade Corrections for the firm.
We provide both Open Systems and Mainframe development and are looking for an experienced full-stack Java developer to augment our team.
What You'll Do Responsible for applying business and technical knowledge to ensure the availability of our systems, and to provide quality solutions for business and enterprise software needs Perform lead analyst role to complete high-level and technical systems design for new and enhanced systems Perform project leadership role on small initiatives Provide technical leadership and complete complex system-level assignments Provide guidance and training to less experienced developers on the business impact of the systems supported and the technical design of systems Develop business and technical requirements for enhancements, projects, and new systems Design (including system specifications), develop, test, document, and implement quality application software within targeted due dates Provide and validate program/task/system estimates At Edward Jones, we value and respect our associates and their contributions, and we recognize individual efforts through a rewards program that promotes a long-term career, financial security and well-being.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate: Hiring Minimum: $92984 Hiring Maximum: $158325 Skills/Requirements What You'll Need Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or related work experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development full stack Java development Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical issues and their implications for projects and business decisions, facilitating discussion and resolution of problems, and mentoring other IS associates.
Expert level in at least one of the following environments: gaining understanding in other environments.
Environments may include the following, plus the ability to interface with one or more database platforms: Web Application Development Client Application Development Enterprise or solution-specific purchased software Understand infrastructure architecture - networks, productivity tools, operating systems - and provide input to leaders about the impact of these components Problem Solving: • Define root cause and correct the most complex problems quickly to minimize impact to the business areas • Ability to build upon prior knowledge and experience • Lead resolution of urgent system issues Decision Making: • Decisions may often involve multiple variables and may require research and analysis to determine the most appropriate solution • Works independently within the guidelines provided by System Development Methodology and IS Standards, escalating issues to leaders • Provides feedback and mentoring to other associates "" Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St.
Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with a preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
