The Little Lime Punch Hydrangea, also known as Hydrangea paniculata, puts on an awe-inspiring show during the summer.
Flowers are a brilliant shade of lime green, and as the growing season progresses, the blooms change color, starting at the bottom of each cloud-like cluster.
The flowers turn white, pink and eventually settle into a rich red.
While the transition takes place, the flower bunches display a stunning ombre fade.
As this hydrangea reblooms throughout the summer, the shrub will have flower clusters in various stages of the color transition.
This deciduous shrub can be used in borders, landscapes, or containers.
The blooms make excellent cut flowers that also dry very nicely.
The Little Lime Punch Hydrangea has a compact growth habit and strong stems that support the large blooms.
This lovely plant grows as a perennial in USDA zones 3 through 8.
