Runs off your tractor hydraulics so you don't have to worry about it not starting because of old gas.
Manually tilts to cut horizontal or vertical.
Previous owner ( I assume the original owner) mounted it to a pallet so he could move it with his forklift.

I only briefly used this, and it was very impressive, but before this, I've only used single cylinder gas log splitters.
Tractor I used was a 6 cylinder diesel at idle.
The hose ends didn't need any adapters to hook to a John Deere tractor.
I'll consider trades.
