This is my grandmother’s old rocking chair.
It has been used, but also well-cared for, so it’s in great condition.
I have many great memories of it when I was a kid, but have nowhere to store it and it’s time to move on.
I believe it’s is cherry wood, maybe maple.
It was made by the Virginia House Furniture Company in Atkins, VA, between 1940-1969, so it is mid-century modern.
It has a bowback, and turned spindles, legs, stretchers, and rockers.
It is structurally sound and sturdy, and the orange cushions are the original ones.
Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks!
