The Warren County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is hiring a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.
The responsibility includes representing the State of Missouri for cases arising in Warren County.
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, reviewing referrals and making filing decisions on criminal cases, as well as communicating effectively with law enforcement officers, victims, and the defense bar.
The Assistant Prosecuting Attorney will appear in court frequently and is responsible for hearings and trials.
The Assistant Prosecuting Attorney will prepare and conduct jury trials, including both misdemeanor and felony cases.
Desired skills include the ability to work independently, make responsible decisions on cases, and collaborate with staff in the Office and court system.
Applicants need a Juris Doctorate Degree with a valid license to practice law in the state of Missouri and must be able to pass a drug test and background fitness review.
Prior experience in criminal litigation is preferred.
The salary shall be commensurate depending on experience.
