Full-time elder law paralegal for solo elder law attorney in our Maplewood location.
Professional Skills Requirements:
* Two years of law firm experience REQUIRED.
* MUST HAVE background in at least one of the following: probate (guardianships, conservatorship settlements, decedent estates); estate planning; or, trust administration.
* Must have solid grammar and letter-writing skills.
* Experience with an electronic case management system, such as MyCase, Clio or Time Matters preferred.
* Must type at least 50 WPM.

Primary Job Duties:
* Manage maintenance and timelines of probate, guardianship/conservatorship files, trust administration files, and other file types as assigned.
* Supervise estate planning administrator to review draft estate planning documents for accuracy.
* Answer phones as a back-up to other support staff.
* Draft and edit correspondence and legal documents.
* Manage workflow of cases: deadlines, managing calendar of deadlines, events and court dates related to the cases.
* Work directly with clients and assist in answering questions related to their cases.
* Assist with developing firm documents (templates) and checklists.
* Although basic administrative duties is not the focus of this position, this is a small firm that requires all employees to be team players and assist, as needed.
Must be willing to answer phones and complete office administration functions.
Job Type: Full-time but part-time for an experienced elder law paralegal would be considered.
Work at home will NOT be considered.
