This position will support lawyers by performing clerical and administrative duties.
This position requires a candidate who can demonstrate a positive attitude and strong judgment.
The ideal candidate will take initiative, have integrity and will be dependable.
This position will work a hybrid schedule of at least three days in the office.
Overtime and flexibility in schedule may be required from time to time.
*Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:* * Document production, including formatting, editing, and finalizing correspondence, memoranda, briefs, motions, pleadings, etc.
* Maintain organization of client files, including electronic files in the firm’s document management system (FileSite) * Handle court filings, including e-filing * Prepare and process new client/new matter forms, along with conflicts search and preparation of engagement letters * Edit and finalize monthly client invoices, and submit for e-billing, as necessary * Monitor status of outstanding client invoices and timely submit appeals for underpaid amounts, as necessary * Proofread all documents, correspondence, etc.
for content, grammar, and accuracy * Maintain lawyers calendars * Enter lawyer billable time into Epoch * Upload/download documents to electronic format * Internet research on various websites, as requested * Coordinate travel arrangements, including air, hotel and car, for lawyers as requested * Manage expenses including preparation of online expense reimbursement requests * Serve as the liaison to clients via verbal and email correspondence as directed * Perform other work related duties as assigned Please note this job description does not cover or contain all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
