*The ideal candidate will have the following skills*: * Personal injury experience.
* Ability to guide clients through the case process with frequent communication, empathy, and professionalism.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to identify problems and concerns independently, communicate them to appropriate individuals and resolve them.
* Work together as a team with attorneys and other legal professionals while having a positive and professional approach to all situations and requests.
* Knowledge of pre-litigation case process and ability to work independently.
* Main point of contact for adjusters, medical providers, and subrogation analysts on each file.
* Investigate facts to obtain relevant issues necessary to determine causation, damages, and extent of injuries.
* Prepare and properly submit FOIA/Sunshine requests.
* Research and verify all available insurance coverages and communicate with the insurance adjusters.
* Familiarity with all types of insurance policies, coverage limits, provisions, and exclusions.
* Medical review and preparation of medical chronologies, medical expense itemizations and demand packages.
* Identify and negotiate medical and health insurance liens.
* Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid subrogation, private insurance subrogation, and ability to understand compliance with subrogation regulations, when appropriate.
* Organize and maintain electronic file per firm system guidelines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is required.
* Experience with Needles/Filevine/Litify or other case management platforms preferred.
*Education and Experience Requirements:* * Associates Degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years experience preferred.
