LFCS is seeking a compassionate professional to provide effective counseling/therapy services to individuals and families who seek help for mental health related concerns.
The position will primarily serve children, youth and families in an school-based setting.
This is a contract position for up to 28 hours per week.
Duties
Provide effective counseling/therapy to clients including case coordination and crisis intervention as needed.
Maintain accurate and complete client records.
Continue professional growth.
Participate in peer consultation.
Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and clinical support to therapists for licensure supervision and graduate students for practicum supervision.
Serve as a role model and source of mentoring and clinical support to therapists on the team.
May also provide classroom-based prevention psychoeducation programming at partner school sites when requested.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master's degree in a mental health related field.
Licensed Therapist - Must be professionally licensed in the state of Missouri as a clinical social worker (LCSW).
Must meet the state licensing board requirements to provide supervision towards professional licensure as a LCSW.
2 years of social services experience.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of counseling theories and practices, therapeutic models and interventions for use with children and youth.
Knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment planning.
Knowledge of ethical standards and legal regulations.
Knowledge of community resources.
Effective professional therapeutic skills.
Crisis intervention skills.
Ability to function as an effective team member.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain accurate and complete client records.
Computer skills and time management skills.
