Position Overview
The Attorney/ Project Manager assists the Analytics Review Technology (ART) Client Service Group with identification and development of strategies and solutions for leveraging technology and legal project management principles for cost effectiveness and efficiency.
This position assists with training and team building, and acts as a liaison between ART, internal stakeholders assigned to the matter, and clients.
Responsibilities
Identifies and develops strategies and solutions to leverage technology and process management in aid of more cost effective and efficient document reviews, due diligence exercises, contract management, and contract analysis
Remains abreast of industry technology, particularly enhancements to the firm’s document review and analysis platforms and has an A to Z understanding of leveraged technology and information, as well as its implementation
Participates in marketing ART’s services to internal and external clients
Accountable for monitoring and managing the delivery of the matter life cycle, from inception through the completion of activities to ensure that they are delivered in accordance with the client's needs, efficiently, on budget, and within agreed upon time frames
Oversees the workflow for document reviews for client litigation, client internal investigatory reviews, and internal Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner reviews, including review for attorney/client, work product, and other applicable privileges and quality control on the reviews
Performs analysis of contracts for due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions, contract management, and other client exercises
Manages the identification and development of processes, document review protocols and playbooks to streamline and deliver cost effective and efficient workflows for document review and contract analysis and management exercises
Responsible for contributing to the development of legal project management processes and best practices and incorporating them in projects
Researches legal data (both manual and electronic) drafts and summarizes legal documents, including privileged document logs, as necessary, and assists case teams with legal investigations
Reviews contracts against established standards and negotiate acceptable alternatives, working from templates, playbooks and technology solutions
Tracks time and enters it into the firm’s timekeeping system
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director and Senior Manager

Adept with technology, and ability to integrate it into workflows to generate overall efficiencies with a focus on analytical machine-driven technologies
Proven ability to meet expectations for quality and timeliness with advanced analytic, problem solving, facilitation, analysis, interpretation, documentation, and organizational skills
This position is in a critical needs area and needs to be accessible by email and phone, as well as the ability to arrive early, stay late, and/or work weekends as necessary
Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times scheduled
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but can serve as a coach for other positions.
Travel
Minimal travel is required for this position.
Education/Experience/Certifications
Juris Doctorate
Minimum one (1) year of experience working with electronic document reviews preferred
Missouri Bar license
