4+ years of public sector focused transactional legal experience including specific experience with procurements conducted by the United States government, state and local governments, and educational institutions.
Knowledge of U.
S.
federal procurement laws, rules, and regulations for commercial items contracting, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
Should have substantive legal knowledge and the ability to counsel Sales and other key stakeholders in the following areas: government procurement, GSA contracting, commercial items contracts, product resale, professional services delivery, licensing, data privacy and security, intellectual property, and “as a service” models.
Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and primarily reviewing third-party paper.
Adaptable and comfortable with change, including monitoring for relevant legal and technology industry developments and trends that may affect the company's business operations and interests.
Must be attentive to details, a good communicator, and an active listener as this role frequently collaborates with internal stakeholders, including finance, risk management, information security, human resources, etc.
Must be sensitive to cultural differences within a global organization and resulting impact on work environment and legal compliance.
Periodic travel required.
Ability to work remotely.

This position will report directly to the Associate General Counsel – Public Sector.
The successful candidate will negotiate and drive strategic transactions and a significant volume of sales/revenue agreements.
The candidate will support compliance with United States and international government contracting laws, rules, and regulations, and will create and train employees on company policies related to government contracting.
The candidate will work directly with the business, providing day-to-day advice on public sector contracting issues, resolving issues that arise in existing relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
A successful candidate should be proactive, able to provide innovative solutions that balance legal and business concerns, enjoy working hard and being challenged, adapt well to change, have strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrate sound and pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations, and have a healthy sense of humor.
Providing legal advice to the Public Sector business units and management (Federal, State, Local and Educational) on a variety of issues, with emphasis on the review, redline, negotiation and drafting of agreements and contracts for various transactions, including complex supply and services agreements, requests for proposal, Other Transaction Authority Agreements, master purchase agreements, reseller agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work, subcontracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, flowdowns, and purchase order terms and conditions.
Research and advise internal clients on Government regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and various Government agency regulations Support company's sales initiatives associated with Requests for Proposals, General Service Administration (GSA), Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) and multi-state contracts Advise on other legal matters impacting all aspects of the Public Sector's business, including general corporate, international, employment, intellectual property and regulatory matters focusing on identifying risk and proposing workable mitigation solutions Ability to provide a high level of client service, perform excellent work under time pressure, address multiple competing priorities, and provide practical advice to business teams
