This new Corporate Counsel position will have the opportunity to provide critical support to various aspects of the business, focusing on Enterprise Mobility’s North American Rental Operations, global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability related efforts as well as support for Supply Chain Management.
The Corporate Counsel's primary focus will be providing timely and competent day-to-day legal services in support of North American Rental Operations.
That focus will allow for close collaboration with corporate, home city, airport rental operations teams, and directly with various operating teams in the field throughout North America.
The position will, among other things, provide advice and support at the corporate and local operation level, through contract negotiation, review and drafting, regulatory review, drafting, and compliance, short and long-term legal risk assessment, meaningful partnership and collaboration with the business on strategic legal initiatives, and managing outside counsel.
Additionally, the Corporate Counsel will play an important role in helping the organization navigate the evolving global landscape of ESG and Sustainability related laws, regulations, and requirements.
This role allows for the opportunity to work with subject-matter experts throughout the business and become well-versed in and provide guidance regarding a still-emerging area of the law globally.
The Corporate Counsel will also provide guidance to Supply Chain Management, which is responsible for the organization’s global procurement of goods and services, on structuring, drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide array of procurement agreements, including master service agreements, goods purchase agreements, solicitations and other complex legal documents.
This role will be reporting to Enterprise Mobility’s Corporate Counsel leading and managing legal teams in these areas.
