We are seeking a talented HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team.
This role will partner with the HRBP Lead in support of the Cigna Legal & Corporate Affairs organization.
The HRBP is responsible for strategic HR consulting to senior business leaders on a broad range of HR issues and business plans.
Focus on a thorough understanding of the business being served is critical along with tailoring HR-related programs to meet specific needs of the business and aligned employee population.
In partnership with our Cigna Legal & Corporate Affairs leadership team, this role drives and facilitates the development of culture and key capabilities to maintain a productive, diverse and engaged workforce.
The HRBP provides an enterprise-wide perspective for leaders to align talent strategy with corporate and business unit goals and objectives.
The HRBP role will partner with key stakeholders in the business and human resources to drive program recommendations, development, prioritization and deployment in talent management, employee development, compensation, performance management, organizational transformation, change management and workforce effectiveness for their assigned client group.
Key Accountabilities: Business Partnership Provide strategic HR consulting and problem-solving solutions on the most complex issues to business leaders.
Assist in the creation of development plans for high potential employees and identifies high potentials at all levels for current- and future-state critical roles.
Deliver solutions to improve processes, team dynamics, etc.
to optimize organizational effectiveness.
Provide thought leadership and drive execution of business strategy, goals and priorities.
Build and enhance functional approaches specific to diversity & inclusion and data & analytics.
Leadership Effectiveness and Key Talent Management Develop effective leaders within the organization, focusing on leadership needs and key themes identified as part of the business strategy and organizational and talent review processes.
Will play an active role in guiding assigned client groups through ongoing talent review and succession planning activities.
Initiatives include working with leaders to create strategies to close talent gaps, developing a highly effective leadership team and bench strength for succession.
Encourages building strength through diversity.
Designs and implements retention strategies focusing on key leaders and individuals with core competencies or skills critical to the organization – now and for the future.
Coach leaders on their personal efficacy and leadership impact.
Talent and Capability Development Partner and coordinate with functionally-aligned HR Center of Excellence (COE) resources to identify requirements and execute actions in support of building talent and capabilities across assigned functional areas.
Responsible for partnering closely with business leaders in the development, management and delivery of functional strategic workforce plans.
Change Leadership Acts as a change agent to client groups, partners and project teams to drive organizational change through the application of a common framework, process and set of best practice tools, which prepare employees for ongoing change and transformation.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or minimum of 8+ years of experience in a HR Business Partner or COE role demonstrating increased levels of responsibility required Proven track record of leading large/complex organizational changes Ability to think strategically and transform strategy into action Credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior leadership Strong business acumen with the ability to understand, discuss and work with leaders on Cigna's business strategy and human capital implications Experience leading organizations through change management Successful teaming with colleagues A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals Demonstrated ability to work in a highly complex/matrixed business and HR model Knowledge of, and proven capability in, organizational development techniques and performance management Experience in Workday strongly preferred Critical Success Factors Broad Human Resource functional expertise Strong project management skills Designed organizational processes, structure, and/or systems Large capacity for work; high work ethic Politically savvy; able to navigate and influence Ability to "move the needle" and leadership toward accomplishment of the strategy Capacity for influence across multiple stakeholders Courage to take a stand and conviction to take risks Commitment to inclusion and diversity Results-oriented Proven collaborative style If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
