Like tweed Fender Champ but way better! This is a 5 watt crunch machine in an extra big resonant wood box with a 12" alnico speaker.
They also included a Bright/Mellow switch and a very useful "Earphone" output that taps the preamp and works great to drive/overdrive another amp or go straight to the mixing console! *All hand-wired point to point circuitry! *All premium vintage RCA tubes to include; *1 RCA smoked glass 6v6GT output tube.
*1 RCA 12ax7a long black plate tube *1 RCA 5Y3GT rectifier tube.
*Original Ajax Blue Molded coupling capacitors! *Original Schumacher transformers! *Original 12" Oxford Alnico speaker dated 465-1060 (Oxford-10th week 1960).
*All contained in the original wood Magnatone cabinet that dwarfs a tweed champ! It even has its original leather handle still in good usable condition exactly like the ones Fender used on their tweed amps.
This cab is the size of the legendary tweed 5E3 Deluxe measuring 20"wide X 16" high x 9-1/2" deep! With a 12" speaker.
They even included the schematic diagram stapled to the bottom inside! Magnatone also included a tweeter in the name of High Fidelity.
I added a small on/off switch To bypass the tweeter if desired.
I used an existing mounting screw as I would never do an invasive non-reversible mod to such a great vintage amp.
*The old power cord has been upgraded with a high quality 8' properly grounded cord in the name of safety and quiet noise floor.
* This baby is all original except the power cord and all is in super great condition.
It works,plays, sounds and looks really great.
