No educational requirements.
Ability to speak English effectively to respond to questions from customers, donors, team members, and leadership.
Basic math skills preferred.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Handles all donations with care and respect.
Sorts donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, according to established guidelines.
Inspects donated goods and purchased goods to distinguish quality while checking for holes, tears, stains, breakage, odor, etc.
Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working at a quick and steady pace.
Efficiently and safely transports items, carts, racks, and bins to and from sales floor.
Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store, to include sales floor, warehouse, and donation dock, in an efficient manner to adhere to Goodwill Retail Procedures.
Provides positive customer service interactions, to include greetings, assistance, and thanks, to in person customers and donors as well as those over the phone.
Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft.
Reports any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, or employee hotline.
Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies and Goodwill Retail procedures as well as safety and security regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
