Catering Sales Manager

Hotel discount with rooms as low as $40! Pay: $55,000 Full Time shift POSITION SUMMARY Meet or exceed personal Catering sales goals, assist other members of the Catering team to help facilitate achievement of their goals.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Solicit new accounts, make cold calls, respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries, and review previous banquet files to generate business in order to meet or exceed personal sales goals.
Write banquet menus, memos and event orders.
Review and revise Catering department guarantee sheets and weekly event sheets.
Perform administrative duties associated with position including inputting BEO’s, resume preparation and distribution, SPG account management, billing, etc.
Coordinate various departments participation in servicing accounts.
Move throughout the property to conduct site inspections, reporting any areas requiring maintenance to the appropriate department.
Tour existing, former and potential clients, providing information about the property and by utilizing an effective and positive sales technique.
Negotiate, prepare and write contracts and enter information into the Daylight system.
Accurately block meeting space and guest rooms.
Consistently use the Daylight call reporting system.
Assist with the banquet leadership responsibilities to ensure operational standards are consistently delivered and that we meet or exceed guest expectations.
Interact with clients to determine needs and direct staff accordingly.
Review guest service score reports and Event Rating forms and take necessary action to ensure we exceed our customer’s expectations and maintain company standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from college or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
College degree with hotel major is preferred.
Prior Sales, Food and Beverage, or Catering experience required.
