Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marketing Data Analyst to join our team, specializing in market intelligence for residential construction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data sourcing, analysis, and interpretation, with a focus on deriving actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.
This role will involve gathering and analyzing external market data related to residential construction, as well as internal marketing data, to provide valuable insights and recommendations to enhance our marketing strategies, product offerings, and pricing strategies.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES: Market Intelligence Data Sourcing: Research and gather market intelligence data related to residential construction industry trends, including but not limited to housing market dynamics, consumer preferences, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and economic indicators.
Utilize various data sources such as industry reports, market research databases, government publications, and online resources to collect relevant data sets.
Clean, preprocess, and analyze market intelligence data using statistical techniques and data analysis tools.
Identify key patterns, trends, and insights within the data to inform strategic decision-making.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing key findings, insights, and recommendations derived from data analysis.
Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner, facilitating informed decision-making processes.
Internal Marketing Data Analysis: Review and analyze internal marketing data, including campaign performance metrics, customer behavior data, product sales data, and pricing data.
Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization in marketing strategies, product offerings, and pricing strategies based on data-driven insights.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product development, and finance to understand business objectives and priorities.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and solicit feedback.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred.
3+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a focus on market intelligence analysis.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Excel, Python, and R.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Experience working with market research databases and external data sources.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the construction industry or related fields.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other similar platforms.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and predictive modeling.
Understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
